Over 550 cyclists took part in the event in July raising money for children and adults with disabilities in Co Kerry. Paula Henry manager of Enable Ireland Adult Services says “We were in desperate need for a new mini bus. They are used every day to take our service users from their home into our services in Tralee and rack up a huge amount of mileage. In recent years we have spent a huge amount of money repairing the vehicles and keeping them on the road. It’s great to have a new bus in operation and I would like to thank all the cyclist for supporting us this year. I would also like to thank all the volunteers who helped with the cycle”Cathal Walshe PRO of the Ring of Kerry committee says “This is exactly what the Ring of Kerry Cycle is all about. Raising funds for Kerry Charities. This year 11,000 cyclists raised a record €1,890,820. That’s €250,000 more than 2014”. Cathal added “Applications are currently open for 2016 and we would encourage all Kerry charities to apply.
